HI! I’M PAUL
A husband, dad, and writer
dedicated to helping young parents be the happiest
version of themselves.
Parenting Can Be Lonely
Parenthood can be lonely.
My mission is to share my own experiences and offer practical advice that will
make the parenting journey less lonely.
As a young parent, I’ve been
through most if not all of the problems other parents face
today. From struggling financially to being harshly judged about how I raise my
daughter.
I’m here to reassure my
fellow young parents that the challenges they face
are common among
parents. I want them to feel loved and cared for, not judged and
neglected.
While I still don't
have figured everything out, here are some of the ways I can help
you;
Are
you a young parent struggling to meet your
family's financial needs? I’ll help you learn the various ways to
make a living online.
Dealing
with toddler tantrums? I’ll show you the various tips that
worked for our daughter.
Struggling
to maintain
a work-life balance? I’ve got plenty of tips to
help you regain
balance.
My Story
The
experience of raising my daughter has made me realize how clueless
I was as a parent. I was not
knowledgeable about a
lot of things, including
i. Baby sleep
I didn’t know
newborns couldn't distinguish between day and night. No one warned
me of the sleepless nights my wife and I would stay up soothing our daughter to
sleep.
I didn’t know about sleep
training or its benefits.
Our daughter wouldn’t nap
for more than 20 minutes during the day and woke
up countless times during the night.
ii. Work-life
balance
When my daughter turned one,
I got a job as a customer service representative in
a call center.
I worked
at ungodly hours of the night and slept
throughout the day. Keeping
a work-life balance was another obstacle we had to overcome.
iii. A child’s
developmental milestones
I wasn’t ready for my daughters'
terrible twos. Her new unruly behaviors made us question our parenting style.
We felt inadequate as if
we weren't doing something right.
But You Don’t Have To Do It Alone
Sleep problems, lack of
work-life balance, and dealing with toddler tantrums are things that other
young parents deal
with out there. And we, therefore, hope
to
find
solutions from others
around us.
The
majority of the advice we received was outdated or didn't apply to our daughter.
It was overwhelming to feel like nothing worked.
My own experiences have made
me realize that most young parents start this journey without knowing
what lies
ahead. And that’s perfectly okay since there’s no manual for this job.
It
is my hope that through this blog, I can help parents who feel clueless like my
wife did for a while.
I understand that no two
children are the same.
What works for me and my daughter may not work for everyone.
Nevertheless,
I am committed to providing accurate, relatable, and practical tips for every
parent.
